Our journey

If you take nothing else away from this transformation... notice the smile, and amount of self love that is unable to be kept inside. This is about two weeks after my first bikini bodybuilding competition... I have learned so much about the body, inside and out. Throughout my entire fitness journey thus far, I have gained a world of knowledge and education. I took the leap and switched coaches in order to meet my goals. I now have a deeper understanding of the body's individual needs at various timepoints due to pushing my own self to extremes, because I love a challenge.

fast forward to 2+ years later…

My very first check-in picture with my first coach.

In this picture, I was intermittent fasting, under-eating, drinking too much alcohol on the weekends, focused on cardio and running, and doing light-weighted 30-minute HIIT workouts.

Although I was in no way overweight... I knew I wanted more... I wanted to BE better, look better, feel better and happier with myself.

This transformation was done solely on my own without any professional coaching help. I have taught myself a lot of fitness and nutrition over the years and applied those tactics to my body to see how it would respond. I have put myself through about four cutting phases and multiple maintenance/ muscle growing phases. In the picture on the left, I was focused on sports, cardio, quick HIIT programs, and not focused on nutrition/ counting macros. The picture on the right is the present... I dedicate about 80% of my diet to whole foods and counting macronutrients... while still enjoying delicious food and drinks out at restaurants! I strength train, heavy, five times a week and incorporate weekly cardio that makes me feel good.

To be successful at anything, you do not have to be special, or even privileged. You simply put, just have to be what a majority of people are not- disciplined, consistent, and determined.
